Champions League 2009: Fixtures

The much awaited Champions League 2009 has started with 12 teams in 3 groups. The first match was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Cape Cobras from South Africa.

The details of the fixtures along with schudule for the entire tournament is given below. The top 2 teams from group move to the League stage. The top two teams are not decided by the points but by the positions already given to them like A1, A2 and A3 for Group A and similar groups. If A3 goes to position 1 by points or net run rate, the other team still takes its position and A3 takes A2 position.

For example, A1 finishes with 3 points, A3 finishes with 4 points, still A1 will have its position as A1 but A3 will take position A2 during the League stages.

League is divided into two groups A and B. The top two positions in the League move into Semi Finals.
